The Indiana PKU and Allied Disorders Association provides many services to the metabolic community in Indiana.

Service List

We sponsor cooking classes for special diets, presentations by medical and allied health professionals, and talks by people who are living with metabolic disorders.

We host events throughout the year when families can meet to support each other and exchange information.

We provide metabolic patients at Riley Hospital for Children with dietary management supplies such as scales, cookbooks, and reference guides.

Dietary Management Supplies

We raise funds to help research into treatments for metabolic disorders, including the development of new products for managing special diets.

Funding for Research

The Indiana PKU and Allied Disorders Association is a member of the newly formed National PKU Alliance (NPKUA).

As members of the NPKUA, we commit to donate at least 75% of undesignated funds raised for research to projects selected by the NPKUA Research Development and Review Committee.

Also, we commit to provide help to board committees, to send two representatives to the annual conference, and to appoint a representative to sit on the NPKUA board of directors.
